Cincinnati

Last weekend, we went with some friends to Cincinnati to see the Reds play at "The Great American Ballpark."

Buddy has LOVED the Reds ever since he was a little boy. This is what he wanted to do to celebrate his birthday! I figured... "Why not?! Hotdogs, pretzels, snow cones... sounds like fun to me!"

We played a three game series against the Red Sox! Friday night we beat 'em! Saturday was a great game! Sunday... we got killed.

We did other fun stuff too. We went to the aquarium and did a lot of sightseeing!

Cincinnati is a really cool city!

Sunday, we met some really cool people!

This is Cary Freels. He is traveling to all 30 ballparks across the country... on his motorcycle. He is raising $100,000 for LiveStrong - Lance Armstrong Foundation. His mom is a breast cancer survivor.

He is such an incredible guy. If you are interested in checking him out, go to www.thirtyonone.com.

Nature Photography

Recently I had the chance to get out of my element and spend a day photographing nature. My friend Chuck Hill spent the day taking us through the mountains teaching his technique on how to photograph nature.

When I say we spent the day... We left at 5:30 in the morning and took our last photograph of the sunset at 9:00 that night.

It was so much fun! I was with some great friends and beautiful scenery!

It was really neat to get out of my portrait mode and change my focus.
Enjoy,
Karen

Celebration of Life

As you know, Renda's sister, Rhonda, has faced the challenge of breast cancer over the past year. She has now completed radiation and chemotherapy, and is now in remission.
In her honor, Rhonda's family hosted a celebration of life party. Her friends, family, and co-workers gathered to applaud her strength through this battle that has overcome. Everyone who attended the party released a white balloon with the pink breast cancer ribbon on it.

In October, we will be taking part in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. As a team, we will walk about 26 miles on Saturday and about 13 miles on Sunday. Each member of our team will be collecting a minimum of $1,800.
We'll keep you updated on our progress in raising money and training for this event. If you're interested in donating money or even joining our team, please contact Jessica or Renda at 704.933.5600. We would love for you to help us fight for a cure!

Ashley's Shower

We celebrated baby Auden last week with a Portrait Shower!

Isn't that the cutest cupcake cake?! And it was delicious too!

After cake and refreshments, we played a games... Guess how many skittles are in the baby bottle! Guess what baby-related items are in the boxes!

Who guesses disposable washclothes anyways??

Then it was time for gifts!

Of course, the first gift was appropriate - a camera toy! (Renda always gives great gifts!)

"Don't wake me... I'll wake you!"

"Instructions NOT INCLUDED"

Katie, Ashley's sister, helped with gifts!

We love our Ashley!

We can't wait to meet Auden!

Ashley's grandmothers joined us to celebrate!

Ashley's friends, Angel, Crystal, and Erin, from First Charter joined us as well!

Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us! We had a great turn out! Ashley got some great gifts and we're looking forward to photographing Auden ALL THE TIME! :)
