Olivia-Clark Wedding

Tami Olivia and John Clark tied the knot this past Friday. Tara and Renda were there to capture it all!

Tami & John said their vows at Trinity United Methodist Church in Kannapolis. This is a gorgeous church. We work there often!

The rain fell all day, but held off for a few minutes... just long enough to photograph the newlyweds outside the church and getting into their cool ride to the reception!

The reception was held at NorthStone Country Club. Everyone had a blast! The food was incredible and the dance floor was full all night long.

Here's a unique idea for future brides... They put a $50 bill in the bouquet and on the garder, so that the married couples could enjoy the bouquet/garder toss too!

The newlyweds also had a "wish tree" at their reception, which was a really neat idea.

Tami & John,

Congratulations! We were honored to be a part of your special day. You two are such a perfect couple and we know you'll have years of happiness!

Thanks,

Tara & Renda

Mr. & Mrs. Clark's wedding images will be posted online April 25th through May 23rd. We'll keep you updated!

Fabulous Friday!

The morning began with discussion of Tara and Renda's wedding this afternoon. It's been raining for 2 days straight now, and rain on a wedding day is the ultimate challenge to a photographer. They can handle it.... by all means, but sunshine always makes a wedding photographers heart melt.

The conversation continued.... We begin our dance studio photography tomorrow at Center Stage Dance Company. We've photographed these girls for years and always look forward to it, but it definitely makes for an exhausting weekend!

Then the phone rang. "Is this Renda?," someone asked. "Yes, it is. How can I help you?," Renda replied. "This is _____ from Wing Zone. You've been chosen from our business card drawing for a free lunch! What would you like?" Then the day brightened!

After enjoying our favorite honey bbq boneless wings and wedges, we indulged in some brownie bites. Even Millie got a few bites!

THANKS WING ZONE!!!!

But that's not all! As if the day couldn't get any better, we received a delivery from Edible Arrangements! We recently hung a portrait display in Dr. Kim Blanding's dental office in Kannapolis, and to thank us, she went a wonderful fruit arrangement!!!!

THANKS DR. BLANDING!!!

To have such a gloomy start to the day, it has sure turned out to be FABULOUS!!!! Hope your friday is as fabulous as ours!

Facebook Party AKA Girls Night Out

Admit it! Most of us have one picture that we like of ourselves and it's been our profile picture for the last year. Well, here's your chance to get a new one that you'll love for the next year!
But it's not just about the profile picture! We're turning this into a Girls' Night Out! We'll have ladies here doing hair, makeup, paraffin dips, and neck massages. And we'll have ladies here selling purses, jewelry and bras! We'll also have some food and refreshments! What more could a girl ask for??
And the best part is.... you get your new facebook look for only $15. All the money we collect during this Girls Night Out will go towards our 2009 Focused on a Cure Breast Cancer Survivor Campaign! This is a wonderful cause and we hope you'll help us support something we're passionate about.
Here are a few FAQs we've received so far...
Can I bring my kids or my husband with me?
Sure you can! If you want them in your profile picture, bring them!
Do I need an appointment?
Nope! You can drop in whatever time is best for you between 5 and 8pm on Friday. Don't wait too late though. You don't want to miss out on the complimentary hairdo, nail treatment, make up and neck massage!
What do I really get for $15?
For $15, you get a new facebook profile picture, complimentary hair, makeup, massage, nail treatment, AND food! If you choose to purchase jewelry, purses, and bras, that's separate! Great deal, huh?
We've had an amazing response so far... so, in order to be prepared for the amount of people attending, we're asking everyone to RSVP. THANKS!
Hope to see you there!

Class of 2010 Senior Spokesmodels

It's that time again... time to recruit our senior spokesModels for class of 2010. We're searching for seniors that want to represent us as their exclusive senior photographer... meanwhile receiving lots of cool stuff!

Monday evening, we hosted a party for our past and potential spokesModels! Here's a few candids from the party!

We decorated the front porch IP style! Take note of our cool new medal portraits hanging on the left! PERFECT for our seniors!

We started the night out with pizza and discussing our spokesModel program.

Then the excitement began.... Tara challenged the girls to a "walk-off" - your best model walk/dance to Rihanna!

We had a few drawings for some unique gifts - personalized dog tags, dry erase boards, etc.

We had a table to show the girls some of last years' spokesModel cards, custom designed books, and such.

We are proud to say we've found great girls to fill last year's girls' shoes! They're outgoing, beautiful, funny, and great dancers! :) We can't wait until our model shoots coming up!
Keep in mind, it's not too late to become a spokesModel! Call us if you think you'd be interested! 704.933.5600

Safe Kids Cabarrus Fundraiser

We had great turnout Saturday for our Safe Kids Cabarrus Fundraiser. Concord Fire and Safety checked a total of 27 car seat and EVERY ONE OF THEM WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY! Yes, you read that right - all 27 were wrong! Is that scary or what?!?

They checked car seats for children of all sizes and in all different types of cars. They even flagged down a few cars that drove past their check point... because the children weren't even fastened into their seats!

Special thanks to Fifth Third Bank next door for letting us use their parking lot! It worked well for the cars to pull around the circle drive!

What's a fire truck with no dalmations?!? Luke was a little more cooperative than Millie! She was more interested in the food on the grill!

Check out some more candids and a few portraits from the fundraiser!

We raised almost $700 for Safe Kids Cabarrus! That allows Safe Kids to help keep more children safe, with car seats and bike helmets! We had a blast and want to say thanks to everyone who participated!

Special thanks to David for grilling our hamburgers and hotdogs & Jayden and Chanel for holding our fundraiser sign!

Black & White Relationship Photography

We originally made this video of black and white relationship images to show a potential client, but after seeing it, we thought we'd share it with everyone!

Nothing captures emotion more than a classic black and white portrait.
