Survivor Campaign

This journey through breast cancer with Renda's sister, Rhonda, has changed our lives. Her story has brought us in touch with so many other women who have been through this. We feel each survivor has a unique story to be told. If it can help encourage, inspire or educate one person about this disease, it would be worth this experience.

With our business, it just felt right to put a face with these stories and let our art speak for breast cancer survivors. Karen read each survivor's story and tried to portray their journey and how cancer has “enriched” their lives.

You probably know Angie Hewitt. She's part of our IP Family. Her story is based on being a mother and setting a strong example for her children.

Meet Allison Cresswell (on the far left). She has a family history of different types of cancer, but was faced with breast cancer herself. Her story will inspire you to be that supportive sister, mother, friend that a survivor needs.

Meet Jill Vandaveer. Her story will encourage you to be positive and let your spirit shine through the bad times.

Meet Jane Jacobs and her two beautiful daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Anna Victoria. Jane is a single mother that knew she had to beat the fight against cancer for her girls.

Meet Shirley Ramsey and her granddaughter, Chloe. Her story is based on being an inspiring role model to her children and grandchildren.

Meet Judie Berry-Nix and her husband, Rob. This is Judie's second battle against breast cancer. Rob wanted to be supportive in Judie's journey, so he let her shave his head (and of course, we documented it!)

This is only a sneak peek of the women's stories. Each survivor has a unique story that offers you a valuable lesson. That's why we're inviting you to get to know the survivors during our "Focused on a Cure" campaign.

The following dates and locations are the gallery showings for our campaign.

September 30th - October 10th - Concord Library
October 13th - October 17th - Bates Center at CMC Northeast
October 20th - October 24th - Breast Health Center at Copperfield

We have more locations that we will announce after the dates are finalized. But if you have a business of your own or an idea of a location that might be interested in hosting a gallery showing for us, please contact Renda at 704.933.5600 or renda@irresistibleportraits.
Remember, the more shows we hold, the more awareness there will be!

And.......
Don't forget! We're walking in the Avon Walk on October 25th and 26th. Our goal is $5,000 and we've only raised 17% of that! Every dollar counts. We need your support!
